Hey all you foodies out there!! My name is Nora, and food is my life. To me eating good food is truly an experience. It can take you to cultures you’ve never been before and brings people together. The best gift you can give to yourself and others is a thoughtful meal. I love to cook, and am passionate about discovering dishes I’ve never tried before. It is my personal mission to create one dish a week (I publish “new food ventures” every Sunday) that I have never attempted to cook, and on top of that, to try new products and genres of foods every chance I get.
What you eat truly affects the way you feel. I am dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle (don’t get me wrong, I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth and am not afraid to indulge). Eating right and living life is all about balance. You are going to be miserable if you over exert yourself physically and deprive yourself of “bad foods”. My goal is to eat the foods I love, and share them with others.
I am an active person with a busy life, so I know that is important to treat my body right. I find that when I snack and eat healthy my energy is sustained and I feel better. Although I do not eat 100% organically, I do find that when I eat natural products I feel both physically and mentally energetic. You will find through my blog and website that many of the snack and breakfast items I choose come from organic food companies.
As a disclaimer, I am not a certified nutritionist (although I do read and attend lectures on the topic) and I am not a certified chef. I am simply an epicurean. I work part time in the bread department at my grocery store, read cook books, watch the foodnetwork, subscribe to food and wine related magazines, conduct online research, cook anything and everything every chance I get—seriously, there aren’t enough meals in the day to suffice my curiosity and excitement for food.
