I’ve noticed a commonality on several food blogs: almond butter. As I explored my kitchen for a quick 5 o’clock snack I caught sight of my beloved, and dug right in. (note the picture above is 1/2 of the original spoonful…I decided I needed to document after the fact). I began to wonder, is it a matter of having a sophisticated palate or is it an addiction? Either way, I love the stuff and secretly can’t wait to finish a jar just so I can scrape it clean and have the first tender bite of a new one. I enjoy Maranatha Crunchy Almond Butter. It is no stir and the flavor absolutely blows my mind. I have always been a nut-person, and although I will never stray from my peanut butter roots, almond butter is a refreshing upgrade. It is not as sweet as peanut butter tends to be; it is light and aromatic. I could eat it by the spoonful (clearly, and do often), but my favorite way to enjoy almond butter is mixed on oatmeal or slathered on toast with raspberry jam.
